Canvass for Labour in Hove & Portslade!

The fight to elect a Labour government got off to a great start this week. Jeremy Corbyn kicked off the election campaign with a powerful speech about Labour’s vision for a fairer society, and here in Hove & Portslade Labour comrades hit the ground running with a weekend dedicated to canvassing.

Volunteers came out in force to speak to local residents, and posters supporting Labour and Peter Kyle are rapidly appearing in windows across our constituency.

Canvassing will continue throughout the coming week, with afternoon and evening door knock sessions starting at 2 pm and 6 pm Monday through to Friday. Volunteers will meet up at Peter Kyle’s office on 99 Church Road (see details below).

The Tories are destroying this country – we need a Labour government to save our schools and the NHS,  to bring public services back in the hands of the public, to build affordable homes, end exploitative zero hours contracts, provide a living minimum wage, invest in infrastructure and green jobs, ensure that Britain stays in the single market, and stand up for human rights and social justice at home and abroad.

The fight to take on the Tories has started – come along and join us as we campaign to get Peter Kyle re-elected as MP for Hove & Portslade and Jeremy Corbyn elected as the Labour Prime Minister of Britain!

Details of local campaigns can be found at Peter Kyle’s events page. New events will be added regularly. Don’t worry if you’ve never canvassed before, you will be part of a friendly team and buddied up with an experienced member.

Afternoon and evening door knocks 24-28 April: 2 pm and 6 pm. Meet up at:

99 Church Road
Hove
BN3 2BA

See you on the campaign trail!
